Obinna corrects Mulamwah over building a mansion in the village

Comedian and content creator Oga Obinna has strongly criticized his fellow comedian Mulamwah for investing a significant amount of his money in building a luxurious mansion in their rural home, while he lives in a one-bedroom rental house in Nairobi city.
Speaking to SPM Buzz, Obinna said that building in the village while spending most of your time in the city is a misguided and poor investment.
Obinna stated that he was one of the first comedians to build in their village, but looking back, he feels like he made a mistake in deciding to build there.
"I built a long time ago, I think I was the first comedian to build. I built for my parents, and for myself, but sometimes building in the village is a bad investment. Because you're not there most of the time, you build a house, invest more than ten million, and you don't live there," Obinna said.
"I rarely sleep in my house, when I go to Kisumu, I sleep in a hotel and pass by home briefly to see if the grass has been cut. When I go home, I sleep there for maybe 2 nights and most of the time I am in Nairobi," he added.
However, the comedian advised that he is not saying people should not build, but if you are building, do not invest a lot of money while you are struggling in the city.
"I don't mean that people should not build, build but do not invest a lot of money. If you have a lot of money, fine, but if you don't, build a house near where you will live," he said.
Obinna said that he plans to get a house in Nairobi with a budget of 30 million, but if he gets good money, he will build or buy a house worth 60 million shillings.
Last weekend, Mulamwah showed his fans the luxurious mansion he is building in their home in Kitale, saying that he has already spent more than ten million shillings to reach at least 70% completion.
Mulamwah also showed his fans what the mansion will look like when it's finished.
