Owalo urges Nyanza residents to work with the government

Residents of Nyanza region have been urged to support and work closely with the government to benefit from enhanced development.

Information Communication, and The Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary (CS) Eluid Owalo said that the government was committed to developing the region.

He noted that the people of the Nyanza region had been economically disadvantage since Independence but for the first time they have a receptive regime in power. 

Owalo said there was need for all the stakeholders to spread the message of peace and development in the region.

The CS made the remarks Saturday during the home coming ceremony for Interior and National Administration Principal Secretary(PS) Raymond Omollo.

He thanked the President for the appointing Omollo saying he was a forthright, team player and a humble person.

"We have made an equivocal decision to work with the President in the realization of the bottom up transformative agenda,” he said.

Omollo said he was grateful for the support of the church and the local community in his journey in the public service.

He hailed the President for his reliability, dedication and timeliness in service delivery.

"I will be ready and willing to learn the ropes of excellence in public service delivery from the President," he said.
