President William Ruto has on Thursday evening landed in Arusha, Tanzania for the EAC High-Level Panel on Climate change and Food security.

The forum is a precedent of the COP 28 United Nations Climate conference set to be held in Dubai from 30 November until 12 December 2023.

President William Ruto will join Other Heads of State at the forum including Presidents Samia Suluhu Hassan (Tanzania), Évariste Ndayishimiye (Burundi), former Ethiopia Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, Rwanda Prime Minister Édouard Ngirente and first deputy prime minister of Uganda Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga.

The event will also look into potential opportunities posed by Climate Change in the context of the principle of sustainable development.

President William Ruto had just attended the Joyful Women Organisation conference held at the Moi Kasarani Indoor Arena before jetting out for Arusha.
