Over the weekend, Samburu held a beauty pageant whereby two of the winners were crowned Mr and Miss Samburu 2022.
The event which was held at the Maralal Polytechnic Hall was organised by the Samburu Youth Organization for Talent & Empowerment (S-YOTE).
Anti-FGM Board Chief Executive Officer Bernadette Resian Loloju presided over the event. Other distinguished guests that grade the event include award-winning comedian and actor Khaleed Abdul.

In, images and videos shared with our news desk, the media personality could be seen throwing money at the contestants as he cheered them on.
During the event, Adoro Duncan was crowned
Mr Samburu while Robina was named
Miss Samburu County 2022.
Aggy Sabdio emerged as the 1st runner up in the women's category.
The pageant event was organized by S-YOTE led by the CEO Collins Leitore to promote and support talent in the region.
Speaking to Nairobi Review, Khaleed Abdul stated that the event was a major success and a pivotal step towards empowering youth in Samburu.
He noted that local leaders in collaboration with public and celebrity figures from the region are working to support and nurture local talents through such events.
