The two main suspects in the killing of Jennifer Mwende, a Mlolongo-based hairdresser were today arraigned before a Machakos High Court facing murder charges.
Faith Nthemba and Evelyne Wanza appearing before Judge Margaret Muigai however denied the charges.
The duo was detained at the Machakos G.K prisons pending a probation report and determination of their application for bail. The hearing of the case was slated for November 14.
The suspects through their lawyer raised concerns over inconsistencies on the P3 report forms in which they had accused police in Mlolongo station where they had been arrested and detained of assault.
The suspects told the court that they had not been physically examined and that the P3 forms were filled in their absence.
The lawyer further told the court that the date on the report and the stamp on Nthemba's form were different while the content in Wanza's report appeared to have been copied from the former's form.
In response, the court directed the lawyer to file a report on the same and present it on the day the case will be heard.
