Manchester united's camp has been hit by a blow ahead of their tight premier league clash against Liverpool on Sunday as two of their Key players have been ruled out for sustaining injuries.
Manager Eric Ten Hag announced that defender Harry Maguire has been ruled out of Manchester United's trip to Liverpool after failing to regain fitness.
The defender, along with Luke Shaw, came off during the loss to Bayern Munich in the champions league earlier this week.
Shaw has since trained but Erik ten Hag on Friday confirmed Maguire "will not be available for the coming games".
Antony Martial who missed on training this week has also been ruled out due to illness.
However, Manchester united regain a major boost as defender Victor Lindelof, who missed on last week's Premier league defeat to Bournemouth resumed to training and is expected to be on Sunday's squad. Jonny Evans who is also back to fitness is another option to partner Raphael Varane.
Marcus Rashford who also missed out on training due to illness has since recovered in time and available for the trip to Anfield.
Bruno Fernandes is banned with two yellow cards and will miss out on the Liverpool clash while Rasmus Hojlund, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho are fit for the match.
Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will again compete for the starting right-back berth.
Mason Mount and Christian Eriksen are reportedly nearing returns from their injury lay-offs but are not confirmed as ready to face Liverpool, meaning Kobbie Mainoo is best placed to replace Fernandes in midfield.
Amad Diallo, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and Tyrell Malacia are still nursing long injuries.
Manchester united will return to Anfield hearts pounding where they last fell 7-0 to the Reds with both teams looking to bounce back from international defeats.
