Victor Wanyama reveals best striker to ever player with

Former Kenya national football team, Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama has shared his views on the best striker he has ever played with.

There is no doubt that the 33-year-old defensive midfielder has lined up with some of the best strikers, having featured for various sides, including Scottish giants Celtic, and Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier league.

However, there is only one name that crops up whenever the former Nairobi City Starts and AFC Leopards midfielder thinks of the best striker to ever play with.

The CF Montréal player says former Spurs striker Harry Kane is on another level as a striker.

"Harry’s finishing is second to none," he told FIFA Media during an interview.

"You saw it in training; he is so clinical. I have not seen another striker like him. He's also a very professional player. He does all the right things. His game understanding, movements, and runs are just top.”

Kane currently plays for Germany Bundesliga heavyweights, Bayern Munich. The duo was a mainstay in the Spurs team, from 2016 to 2020 when Wanyama left to join CF Montréal, which features in the Major Soccer League (MSL).

Besides Wanyama and Kane, the team was made up of the likes of Hugo Lloris, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Mousa Dembele, Christian Eriksen, Heung-Min Son, Jan Vertonghen, and Toby Alderweireld among others.

Only Son remains part of the team today. The team under Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino is considered among the best.

Wanyama regrets the fact that he never won a title as a Spurs player. "My only regret from that era is that we did not win a big trophy. We had everything to do it, but just couldn’t pull it off. We had a great team and a great coach in Mauricio. We showed we could beat anyone. I remember one season (2016-17), we didn't lose a single home game. That's how good our team was."
