Arsenal moved up to third in the Premier League (PL) after sealing a dominant 5-0 win over London rivals Crystal Palace at Emirates stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Gabriel Maghales headed in from Declan Rice's corner straight into the back of the net to give the Gunners an early lead scoring his second goal of the season.
It was Arsenal's 12th goal from a set piece and the highest number of setpiece goals in the division campaign.
Palace almost came to an equalizer as David Raya’s poor clearance was almost intercepted by Lerma who striked but Raya stretched to clear the shot.
Gabriel Maghales was once again the hero of the moment as he forced a rebound header over Henderson who sent it into his net in the 37th minute.
However, Henderson protested about being impeded by Ben White from the set-piece but VAR disallowed his complaint sealing the second goal for the Gunners.
The Gunners added a third goal following a blistering counter-attack, beginning with Raya’s long throw out to Jesus, who in turn teed up Leandro Trossard to rifle home an unstoppable finish past Henderson just shy of the hour-mark.
Arsenal culminated the scoresheet thanks to Gabriel Martinelli’s stoppage time brace with two almost identical finishes.
The final whistle meant Arsenal were back to winning waya as they also went two points of PL leaders Liverpool.
Meanwhile Roy Hodgson’s side remain 14th and five points clear of the bottom three.
