Former Laikipia Woman Representative Ms Catherine Waruguru has called on the international community to give President Dr. William Ruto space to implement his Kenya Kwanza manifesto.
Waruguru who was speaking at Nanyuki Open-air market, in Laikipia on Thursday said that Kenya was peaceful and urged the International community to support the government to allow it deliver its promises to the people.
“People are saying Kenya is burning yet Kenya is okay and working. And we want the international community to give us the good will to work,” said Waruguru.
She accused Azimio opposition leaders Raila Odinga, Martha Karua and Jeremiah Kioni of leading anti-government protests.
The former Woman Representative cautioned the opposition leaders against disruption of business operations in the country but instead to seek legal redress when addressing their grievances.
“If you are seeking constitutional implementation against this government move to the court, they are open and working. Stop harassing people on the street,” Waruguru said.
Waruguru at the same time told the Azimio leader to forget any likelihood of a handshake since the truce he was after was power sharing deal.
“We don’t want a handshake, we saw the results when there was a truce between Odinga and former President Uhuru Kenyatta. We know he is after power sharing while disguising his intentions behind lowering the cost of living,” revealed Waruguru.
The former woman MP further lauded the media for reporting objectively about the status of the country.
