The PFA (Professional Footballers' Association) awards ceremony was held at the Lowry Theater in Manchester, England on Tuesday evening, August 29.

 The best players of the past season in various leagues in England were awarded in different categories during the event that brought together the stars of various clubs.

 Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, who plays for Manchester City, won the PFA Player of the Year award after emerging as the top scorer in the EPL 2022/23 and the Champions League. 

The 23-year-old footballer scored 36 goals in the Premier League, 12 goals in the Champions League, 3 goals in the FA and one goal in the Carabao Cup. 

Arsenal's Bukayo Saka won the PFA Young Player of the Year award after scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists last season. 

The 21-year-old winger also helped the Gunners finish in second place in the 2022/23 Premier League season. 

Aston Villa's Rachel Daly won the PFA Women's Player of the Year award while Chelsea's Lauren James walked away with the PFA Young Player of the Year award for the same league. 

The other winners are Ajax's Chuba Akpom who won the PFA Championship Players' Player of the Year Award, Ipswich Town's Conor Chaplin who was awarded the PFA League One Player of the Year and Andy Cook who won the PFA League Two Player of the Year. 

The PFA Premier League team of the year included Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, defenders John Stones, Ruben Dias, William Saliba and Kieran Trippier. 

The midfielders were Rodri of Manchester City and Martin Odegaard of Arsenal while Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspurs, Erling Halaand of Man City and Bukayo Saka of Arsenal were also included in the team.

 Nigerian singer Davido was chosen to perform for the guests at the event.
