Harambee stars U18 begin CECAFA junior Championships with high 5 past Sudan

Kenya’s Junior Stars started their CECAF Under-18 Boys’ Championship with an impressive 5-0 thrashing of Sudan at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu on Saturday.
The junior stars started the match on a high when Louis Ingavi connected a cross from Collins Ochieng heading into the net in Just 7 minutes.
Tyson Kariuki extended the lead for the home side firing a low shot past the goalkeeper in the 28th minute to make it 2-0.
The Junior stars build up more attacks at the Sudan box aiding into the third goal as Impressive Spain-based talent Adrine Kibet effortlessly shot past the goalkeeper with his left foot.
Ingavi sealed his Brace to make it four after an unselfish Kariuki created an open space for him after escaping Sudan's defenders.
Salim Babu’s boys sealed the first half with four goals to their advantage coming into the second half calm to retain their goal advantage.
It almost seemed like the match was ending in four goals until Elly Owande received a good pass in the box before slotting in a low shot on his left foot to add more misery on Sudan with the Fifth.
Kenya now lead Group A with three points same as Rwanda, who beat Somalia 1-0 in the tournament opener, but with a superior goal difference.
