I sold my house to popularise Ruto's UDA - Ngirici regrets

Kirinyaga Woman Representative Wangui Ngirici now says she regrets losing their family home at the cost of popularizing the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party.
Ngirici who spoke in Kiamanyeki, Mwea constituency said that she invested a lot for the DP William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance Party to the extent of selling the family home costing millions of shillings just to make the party known in Kirinyaga County.
She says she regrets investing millions of shillings into the party which later betrayed her and instead supported her rival, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.

She says her husband Andrew Ngirici sold their home which she now calls it a total waste of time.
Ngirici took down UDA banners and posters from her campaign truck, mini-vehicles and sound system truck.
Early this year, Ngirici rebranded a building that she had donated to serve as the UDA party’s county office. The building that had the UDA party slogan has been repainted to white.
Wangui Ngirici who is the Kirinyaga Woman Representative, called on the Kirinyaga electorates to support her urging them to vote for the leaders who will represent their interests.
“I sacrificed a lot for the UDA party but I was later shortchanged. Mambo ya kuchagua chama tuwache, let us think about individuals who will represent our interests come August 9,” she said.
Ngirici ditched DP William Ruto’s UDA Party after he decided to openly support Waiguru. She cited unfair nominations process. She also alleged that party officials had asked her to step down for the area Governor Anne Waiguru and instead run for the Mwea Parliamentary seat.
“Rather than channeling much of my funds to these political parties like last polls, I would rather spend it with my people on the ground.” She added.
