"You are required to vacate the Polytechnic with immediate effect." The memo added.
Students protest sparked since the morning hours of Tuesday near the Polytechnic located in western Nairobi.
Students went on a rampage protesting the institution's move to increase fees while demanding for the Principal, Dr. Patrick Muchemi, to be removed from office over poor management.
Earlier, the students had barricaded the Nairobi Waiyaki Way linking Nairobi to Nakuru, with stones and burnt tyres.
However, Police were deployed on the site and managed the transport disruptions despite fierce run and exchange battles.
A similar case was witnessed on Tuesday following protests by students of Multimedia University, who decried lack of water in the facility.
