The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is set to conduct repeat party primaries exercises in certain areas on Tuesday, April 19.
In a statement on Saturday, the Party’s National Elections Board (NEB), said repeat elections for parliamentary aspirants will take place in Rongai and Nakuru Town West Constituencies in Nakuru County, Moiben in Uasin Gishu County, Mt Elgon in Bungoma County and Turkana East & Turkana West in Turkana.
The board’s chairman Antony Mwaura, at the same time, said they shall conduct repeat polls for Members of County Assemblies (MCA) aspirants in Biashara Ward in Nakuru Town East Constituency, all wards in Bumula, Malava, Lugari, Mt. Elgon Likuyani, Turkana East and Turkana Central constituencies.

[Photo: UDA Twitter][/caption]Other areas the Party’s DEB chairman mentioned are Mahiga and Endarasha Ward in Nyeri Town Constituency shall also see a repeat of the exercise, alongside Kibiricha, Kisima, Ruiri/Rwarera, Ntima East, Nyaki East, Nyaki West, Akirang’ondu, Mwanganthia, Abothoguchi, West, Nkomo, Nkuene, Abogeta East as well as Abogeta West and Akachiu wards in Meru County.
At the same time, the United Democratic Alliance NEB Chair Anthony Mwaura stated that successful candidates will be given the final nomination certificates from April 23 to April 25.
“I either encourage all UDA aspirants to maintain peace and ensure that the nominations are conducted in a conducive environment to the values and principles enunciated by the UDA Party Constitution,” Mwaura said
The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) held its nominations across the country on Thursday, where leaders aligned with Deputy President William Ruto competed for tickets in various political seats in the run-up to the August elections.
The exercise, which traversed across 36 of the total 47 counties, saw close to 5,000 aspirants participate in the nominations.
Thirteen counties were expected to nominate gubernatorial candidates, 18 counties Senate candidates, 28 for female representatives, while 13 constituencies were expected to nominate parliamentary candidates.
