Lomorukai Assents to Appropriation Bill 2023

Turkana county Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai has signed into law the Appropriation Bill, 2023.

The Appropriation Bill authorizes the County Government to spend Sh14.5 billion, as approved in the budget for the 2023/2024 financial year to implement development programs.

In the first budget of his  administration, the Governor has prioritized the implementation of the Nine-point Development Agenda among them water provision and food security. 

Of the total budget Sh9.3 billion will be spent on recurrent expenditure and Sh5.2 billion on development.

The signing was witnessed by Speaker of the County Assembly Christopher Nakuleu and Clerk of the County Assembly Linus Lokawa Miinyan.
