Man jailed for stealing cows

A Makueni court Monday sentenced a man to 3-year imprisonment for stealing his mother’s seven cows and one donkey all valued at Sh260, 000.
Makueni Chief Magistrate Peter Gesora found Boniface Kyalo guilty of stealing two cows worth Sh100,000, five bulls(Sh150,000) and a donkey valued at Sh10,000 on 4th June at Kitise location, Kathonzweni sub-county. The livestock belonged to Rael Wavinya.
The accused, who is currently being locked at the Makueni G.K prison has 14 days to appeal against the sentence if dissatisfied.
In the same court, Lawrence Muringe, 32, denied defiling an 11-year-old minor within Makongo sub location on 4th of this month.
The case will be heard on 20th of this month.
