Former Bahati MP Mr. Kimani Ngunjiri has slammed Azimio leader Mr. Raila Odinga over his utterances on USA Ambassador to Kenya Ms. Meg Whitman that may affect foreign remittances.

“We have a good relationship with the USA, what Raila should know but perhaps has forgotten. Many educated children who have not secured jobs in the country are in the USA and they remit foreign currency,” said Ngunjiri in Mombasa. “If the USA is not second, it is third in foreign remittances,” he added.

Ngunjiri termed Odinga’s utterances in Uasin Gishu County during his address at the devolution conference as completely wrong and may claw back Kenya Kwanza's plans to revive the economy of the country.

“We need to be careful with some of these statements because they are not helpful and they will bring problems,’’ he said.

He added that efforts by President Ruto to establish the Office of Leader of Opposition will not be fruitful. “Let me tell you, with my age you’ll not be able to change Raila from what he does every day,” he said.

The ongoing bipartisan talks between Kenya Kwanza and Azimio, Ngunjiri said, will not be productive as Raila will scuttle them. “It won’t be possible because his intention is different and troublesome, ensuring Kenya is not united,” said Ngunjiri.

Meanwhile, Ngunjiri lauded the President for the timely release of shareable revenue to counties urging him to tighten the noose against looting by corrupt Governors.

“The President is going to change this country, it’s only that Kenyans don’t like change but they will like it after being changed. We must accept change and creation of employment for youths,” he said.
