President William Ruto mourns the death of Nominated Kiambu MCA

President William Ruto has mourned the death of Kiambu-nominated MCA Ezra Kabuga Kihara.

The MCA died on Sunday morning in a grisly road accident on Thika Road in Juja.

"We are saddened by the loss of Hon. Ezra Kihara, Nominated MCA at the Kiambu County Assembly." Ruto stated on his Facebook page. 

He described Kihara as a dedicate and loyal member of the Ruling party, UDA and an exemplary leader. 

"He was a dedicated and loyal member of UDA. His skills in party politics were exemplary, and he played a crucial role as the Kiambu County returning officer during the party primaries in 2022. 

As a result of his outstanding leadership capabilities, he was nominated as an MCA and his contribution will be dearly missed."The President said. 

Ezra was recently picked as a member of the UDA National Elections Board technical team for grassroots elections.

Incident reports from police on the accident scene, indicate that the driver of the Forester rammed the rear of the Isuzu FRR lorry.

As a result, the driver of the Subaru Forester died on the spot, police said.

Images and video footage from the scene show his vehicle went up into flames after the incident.

His body was moved to Montezuma Funeral Home, awaiting postmodern, while both motor vehicles were towed to a local police station for inspection.

Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi confirmed the news via his communications team, noting that the accident took place near Mangu High School.
