Ruto hosts Iranian president

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is in the country for a State visit.
Raisi arrived in the country on Wednesday morning for bilateral talks with his host, President William Ruto.
Upon his arrival, he inspected a guard of at State House, Nairobi.
The Iranian President's visit had been set for Tuesday, before being rescheduled for today.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the move was necessitated by the fact that the two countries had not finalised signing of Memorundum of Understanding (MOUs).
Raisi is also expected to visit Uganda and Zimbabwe.
He becomes the first Iran President to visit Africa in 11 years.
