The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is holding primaries in over 30 Counties across the Country, so as to get the party's flagbearers ahead of the August 09, 2022 general elections.
Competition is top notch in 13 gubernatorial, 18 Senatorial, 28 Women Representative, 134 MP and over 800 Ward Representative positions around the Country.
In Bomet County, pockets of tension were witnessed at the Tenwek poling station, after a section of candidates led by nominated Member of Parliament Wilson Sossion, allegedly got hold of ballot papers, already marked in favor of some candidates.

Sossion who is seeking the UDA ticket for the Senatorial seat said they got hold of the papers at 3 am.
"I reported at Silibwet police station. And I confirm that police were able to impound ballot boxes that were being transported by some people to unknown and insecure places," Sossion said in a press briefing televised live on Citizen TV.
"At Tenwek, the ballot papers and ballot boxes were not safe. How an exercise starts determines how it progresses successfully," said the former Secretary-General, Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT).
Earlier, Sossion rubbished claims that he had resigned from the Deputy President William Ruto-led party, after a letter circulated online spreading the rumours.
“I am in the senatorial race! Ignore propaganda being circulated by my opponents that I have resigned."
Bomet is a UDA stronghold. Current governor Professor Hillary Barchok is up against former petroleum CAS John Musonik, in the race for the party's gubernatorial ticket.
In some parts, voting has already begun after stations opened at 6 am, while in other places the exercise is yet to commence.
