Former Samburu County Woman Representative Maison Leshoomo together with Members of County Assemblies (MCA) affiliated to the Jubilee party have confirmed they are still members of the Jubilee Coalition and the party is still alive and running.

Speaking today in Maralal town, Leshoomo insisted that they are the ones who organised themselves to join the party when it was formed back in 2013 by former President Uhuru Kenyatta and nobody is supposed to tell them what to do about Jubilee.

She added that Jubilee is still under the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition and won't exit the alliance any time soon.

This came barely a week after the former President stormed the Jubilee Party headquarters to address the nation on what is going on in the party.

Kenyatta told politicians to keep off Jubilee Party affairs and should focus on other important things in the country.

The former Women representative who served for two-terms under Jubilee, also emphasised that anyone who wants to exit the party should write a letter and submit it to the secretary general.

"As members we are ready to move our party forward and anyone who feels they are not comfortable they are free to exit and join another party," she said.

She told Samburu residents that Uhuru Kenyatta is still the Jubilee Party leader and Jeremiah Kioni is the party's secretary general.
