Days after Jamaican reggae sensation Richie Spice performed in Kisumu, his compatriot Turbulence is the next in line.
Turbulence is set to perform at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium, Mamboleo on Saturday 10th June, 2023.
He will be in the Lakeside City for the One Love Cultural Festival, in what has been termed celebration of music, unity and environmental consciousness.
The show starts from 12:00 noon till late, with Kenyan artist based in the Netherlands, Black Omollo and a lineup of exceptional Kenyan artists backing Turbulence up.
The Festival is being organized by One Love Community Based Organisation (CBO) in Kisumu.
"The festival aims to bring together diverse communities, embracing cultural heritage and promoting unity in Kisumu County. It serves as a platform for artists and musicians from different backgrounds to share their talent and spread messages of love, peace, and social responsibility," the CBO said in a press statement.
"In addition to the musical performances, the One Love Cultural Festival will host pre-event activities to engage the community and raise awareness about environmental sustainability."
Festival Organiser Rita Omollo says as part of the celebrations for World Environment Day, a three-day tree planting drive roadshow will take place across Kisumu County.
"We believe that music has the power to unite people and create positive change. The One Love Cultural Festival aims to bring together individuals from all walks of life to celebrate our shared humanity and raise awareness about environmental responsibility," she added.
