President William Ruto has made leadership changes at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) board level.
Through a gazette notice, the Head of State named Joseph Cheruiyot as the new KMTC board chair, for a term of three years.
He takes over from Zachary Mwita, who was appointed by retired president Uhuru Kenyatta, in 2021.
The axe also fell on four board members, whose appointment has been revoked with immediate effect.
They were appointed by Kenyatta.
They are Naomi Kathure Mutua, Stephen Ochiel, Jennifer Bosibori Kibagendi and Fredrick Wamwaki.
Paul Kaino Cheboi, Eunice Wangui Karanja, Hardlyne Lusui and Joseph Ouma Atonga are the new board members.
Ruto also named David Ndegwa Nyokabi as the non-executive chairperson, of the Kenya National Public Health Institute (KNPHI).
