Former First lady Mama Ngina has rallied Kenyans to support President Uhuru Kenyatta's decision to support ODM leader Raila Odinga's presidential bid ahead of the upcoming August 9, 2022, General election. Mama Ngina asured Kenyans that President Kenyatta cannot show them the wrong way.  She claimed her son will leave the countey to someone who is credible and fit to lead the country. She accused Deputy President William Ruto of being a rebel and urged President Kenyatta to continue with his work and not focus on what the second in command is doing. "Let us try to love one another and drive the country’s affairs forward, and be aware of where you are headed. President Kenyatta cannot lead Kenyans on a path that is not good for them. I tell you, he who sits on a tree stump knows best what the ants eat," she said. The former first lady claimed that the deputy president had abandoned his duties, forcing the Head of State to work alone. Mama Ngina's endorsement comes as a huge boost for Odinga who is taking a fifth stab at the presidency.
