Ruto, Rachael pray for Kenya at Jerusalem wailing wall

President William Ruto and First Lady Rachael Ruto found time out of their busy schedule to pray for Kenya and Kenyans.

They undertook the prayers at the wailing wall in Jerusalem, Israel on Tuesday.

The wall is considered a major historical site in the world.

“Israel is a great place. It is good that I have come to Israel. Even though there are difficulties everywhere in the world but coming to the Holy Land is my greatest pleasure,” Ruto reportedly told people who accompanied him.

Gordon Opiyo, one of Ruto's ardent supporters said prayer had carried him to victory during the August 2022 presidential contest.

Opiyo says through prayer, he will change Kenya for the better.

"To those who Trust in the Lord, prayer is the only way out. When he went round the country in prayers, he was mocked and laughed at. In January, he called for Prayers for Rain...He was mocked.. But look around... Rains have come, and for the first time since 2018, we are headed for a bumper harvest, in a few months," wrote Opiyo in a lost on Facebook.

"Now, he has gone to the holiest site in Jerusalem, and has asked God to grant him wisdom to fix the economy....And you will see. Let us join our beloved President in praying for Kenya."

Ruto met Israel Prime Minister and President, on Tuesday.

They agreed to eliminate trade barriers between Kenya and Israel.
