Bahati constituency MP, Irene Njoki, has condemned the recent killings of young people under unclear circumstances, even as investigations into the death of a Medical Intern at Nakuru Level 5 Hospital are underway.

Njoki regretted that young lives had been lost with perpetrators leaving investigators in limbo as to the manner they executed the killings.

"We as the residents of Bahati know there is a lot of insecurities and the issue of our children particularly girls, being killed. We urge you security agents to address this matter for us so that our children can live in peace," MP Njoki said.

In addition, she assured the residents of Bahati that the county security team led by County Commissioner Loyford Kibaara, was vigilant and that their lives would be safe.

"I know and I am sure because we are from a meeting. I just want to assure the people of Bahati that the government is going to address the runaway insecurity in the region," she said.

On his part Nakuru County Commissioner Lorford Kibaara assured residents that the government was in top gear of protecting people’s lives, calling for patience as security agents continue to seal security loopholes.
