Political analyst Prof Herman Manyora has claimed that the recent Kenya Kwanza meeting in Gatundu was stage managed for area MP Moses Kuria to attack President Uhuru Kenyatta who hails from the area. According to Prof Manyora, the remarks were meant to climax a series of attacks that the Kenya Kwanza team has meted against the Head of State, ever since he endorsed ODM leader Raila Odinga as his presidential candidate of choice. The Prof called on the Head of State to crack the whip against Kuria, arguing that such remarks are very dangerous especially now that the country is in an electioneering period. “I submit that this meeting was stage managed, it was put their intentionally so that Kuria would say the things he said. This meeting must have been put their intentionally to make Kuria say the things he said. “I think Moses Kuria must be called out because it is people like this who can burn the country. I ask President Uhuru Kenyatta like Jeff Kennedy, you must move into action, your being nice may cost this country… There must be something you can do, this is dangerous,” he said. "Uhuru is going against his father's wish by supporting Raila Odinga and he knows what Kenyatta said. We even took an oath never to support Raila for the presidency and that is why we are backing Ruto," Kuria claimed. He urged the Mt Kenya region not to back Azimio La Umoja, arguing that the DP is the best candidate to push the country forward after resident Kenyatta retires in 2022. Meanwhile, Kuria recently joined the Kenya Kwanza alliance and announced that he will be contesting the Kiambu gubernatorial seat alongside; Senator Kimani Wamatangi, incumbent governor James Nyoro and former Governor William Kabogo among others. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DBpxenhRR0
