Incoming Nyamira County Commissioner (CC) Onesmus Kyatha has promised to collaborate, consult and work with both the security team and members of the public to ensure service to all is justly executed.

“I’m very ready to work and request that we work as one team, treat one another rightly with the deserved dignity because I must give members of the public the best service supported by all stakeholders,” stated Kyatha.

“I previously worked in Manga Sub County as a Deputy County Commissioner so I have an idea of this area’s environment and therefore ready and determined to take up my roles to ensure that this place is better for everyone to enjoy living in,” assured the CC.

“I request that we create a very strong working partnership with the County security team in ensuring that citizens are served well. Nyamira County has its own unique challenges and I promise that we shall soon identify major unique problems of this area, come up with an operation policy of mitigating the challenges for Nyamira to be a secure place for people to comfortably live and invest in order to develop it,” Kyatha said.

He further emphasized on the importance of taking care of the vulnerable people in the community for they are helpless and voiceless.

The outgoing County Commissioner, Michael Lesmam appreciated the cooperation he received while working in the county and urged colleagues and residents to give the incoming County Commissioner the same support.

"I worked here in Borabu Sub County, as Deputy County Commissioner for 5 years and later posted here as the County Commissioner in November 2021. I liked the unwavering support from the entire security team and members of the public and appeal for the same support to my incoming colleague Kyatha,” said Lesmam.

Lesmam has been transferred to Kericho County in the same capacity, while Kyatha comes in from Mandera County.
