Austin Odhiambo was the man of the moment as he striked late to gift Gor Mahia a much needed winner against Kariobangi Sharks in a match played at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday.
The stoppage goal sealed K'Ogalo's Unbeaten run in the first leg of the FKF Kenya Premier league as they reached the 40-point mark.
The first half of the match was dry with both teams shy of creating dangerous chances against each other.
Just before halftime, Sylvester Owino limped off the pitch after picking up an injury, which left Johnathan McKinstry with no choice but to sub on Joshua Onyango.
In the 63rd minute Coach Jonathan McKinstry was forced to introduce Boniface Omondi, Chris Ochieng and Earnest Wendo for Patrick Sibomana, Bryson Wangai and Lawrence Juma in efforts to find the breakthrough.
Ochieng almost broke the deadlock in the 75th minus but his effort went narrowly wide to keep the score goalless.
Ochieng last minute effort would finally bear fruits for the 20-time KPL champions sending them 10 Points clear over second - placed Bandari who have so far gathered 30 points.
