Hashim Dagane linked to fourth murder incident

Hashim Dagane has been linked to yet another murder incident.
He is the prime suspect in the tragic murders of a mother, her daughter and her 12-year-old niece, from Nairobi’s Esatleigh estate.
Detectives attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) investigating the recovery of a badly mutilated body found dumped at Lang’ata cemetery on October 31, have recorded a major breakthrough that has lifted the lid on the activities of Dagane.
The victim of the murder was a lady who was captured by CCTV cameras while shopping at a Quick Mart Supermarket within Nairobi City, two days before her murder.
According to the DCI, once done with her shopping, the lady headed to an apartment in Lavington. She was captured by the CCTV cameras while entering the said premises.
The lady, DCI says, was in the company of Hashim Dagane, who was residing in the said apartment where the duo spent time before he was captured leaving the apartment on October 31, 2024, carrying two bags.
The bags are suspected to have contained the remains of the victim, which were later in the day discovered at the Lang’ata cemetery.
“It has also been verified that after Dagane left the apartment, the owner discovered what had happened in his premises, went ahead and cleared the mess, had the rooms re-painted and thereafter went under,” added the DCI in a statement.
“It is believed that the woman in question could be Deka Abdinoor Gorone, who was reported missing at California police station on 24/10/2024. The remains are being subjected to forensic analysis to ascertain the identity of the victim.”
Dagane was arrested on Sunday, after several days in his hideout. The 24-year-old was linked to the arrest of three women, after a car he was driving, a Nissan Note (Reg No. KDQ 718Y) was captured on CCTV cameras picking the victims from their Eastleigh home on October 21, 2024.
Later, their bodies were discovered scattered at various locations. The suspect who is currently in police custody, was identified as an Ethiopian citizen who sneaked into the country using fake documents.
